| I found that the only manufactuers that appear everywhere are Kingmen-Spyder, Tippmann, and Smart Parts.
As far as price and initial quality it seems that Tippmann and Spyder hover in the $100-$200 range for the most part. Smart parts however is more like $350+. The quality I'm guessing is far better, and by the reviews they are. But for a first marker they are too expensive for my taste.
If we are ever intersted in making our own field, an unlikley possiblity but still, I found a few packages that are rather interesting here: http://www.allpaintballsupplies.com/paintball-air-fields-bunkers-c-153.html

| Kool, that would be awesome to create our own stuff. But we'd have to buy land and all that crap. If only I lived on a farm... | |

| yeah I know, I was day dreaming about it today. Living in New Zealand on our own 15acre land with private PB field the whole shabang. That was the real out there thinking, but I did look at some actual possibilities of getting rather cheap land when we are in our 20s and do something with it. I would really like to do that someday... | |

| Lol, If we could ever convince our parents to buy land for us. If you could...that would be incredible, but it is a huge investment, and you will have to pay property taxes.
Bu that would be soooo cool when we are older, we just buy a empty lot somewhere and set up a small playing field where we could maybe set up a little course for people. I doubt it would happen, but it is cool to dream.

| And if you dream it enough and give it a try it might actually be possible. Think about it, 4-5 17 or 18year old guys pool about, say 10k. Doable right? We get a few good sponsers (PB companies or parents/friends companies, people like investing in PB, you'd be surprised)and a loan. We can have at least one field going in little time.
Plus, with the property market as it's doing right now, in 3 years prices will be lower still.
I'll edit this post later, I'm going to bed...

| hey hey hey, don't forget me, i'm probably the biggest war/army/swat/gun nut here (besides matt) i love paintball too. i'd go in on some land. but one of my paintball dreams is to buy some office building (not too big..maybe a few levels) then reinforce the windows(or just cover them up with some wood) get tables and desks and stuff, and then put one team on the top floor and one on the bottom and let em go. they can make barricades with tables and stuff and mobile cover with wheelie chairs. its more for people who like the SWAT type of combat. it cud even be used for CQB airsoft. any ways i'd still love to make a paintball field. but i think we all need to get some real jobs (which requires us being older) and see where it goes from there. | |

| Dude(s) you should just go on ebay, unless you are buying a high-end marker, a lot of the auctions will be packages because the seller is getting rid of most of his stuff. | |
