| Hmm I have made a Non-Executive Executive decision to start a thread about the 'band' that has never officially met. Are we doing something this summer? Please? And who/when/how is Val gonna carry his drums? | |

the incentive the haze/haze continuum system fighting chance system ultimatum long gone how it began/how it was utterance solid delivery staunch pact ... uh, me want chickunz?
idk i no u wont like some of em but what the hell. lets just toy with the idea of being organized enough to have a name. i personally kinda like the incentive. but idk/idc. REPLY POR FAVOR

| I'm going to be moving so moving my drums won't really be a problem as much any more. And yeah, we should set up regular time/s of the week to get together and jam/write music/just hang out. | |

| Ya i got a couple ideas. But before that- names? Well w/e but they should have something to do with us... not just random. Then if we set specific times, when we get together, we should focus on music and not just mess around. Or if were really not getting anywhere we should try ideas or just listen to eaother play. YES! who is gonna be in this btw? | |

| Hey guys, YES!!!!!!!! I've been waiting to make a band forever. That would be really fun to do this sumer . Fighting Chance sounds kinda kool and so does the incentive, but I bet we can come up with better names than that (no offense Matt). Whats an easy song that you think we all can play that isnt too long and sounds good but isnt boring. Ya, I know thats alot of criteria to chose from, but I bet theres some songs you can think of that can fit it. I don't know everyones skill level (mostly Val and Jakob) So I dont know. Plz post songs you think would be a good idea. Also, if we hav a singer, who will it be. Thats usually the most awkward thing to do. I'll do it if no one else wants to though. If someone wants to more, I'll be backup or something. Here's my guess on who will be in it (sorry everyone else who feels left out [post if u want in]): Jeff (Me): Guitar (lead or rhythm) Joe: Guitar (lead or rhythm) Val: Drums Matt: Singing/Backup Guitar Jakob: Bass or Guitar (lead or rhythm) Christian (if he still wants) Bass (which I highly doubt) Thats all I cant think of right now, plz dont feel bad if i didnt include you or I put you somewhere where you dont want to be, this is only my knowledge so far and an educated guess. For some reason, my fingers cant play guns & roses (as joe knows) and that pisses me off beyond belief, but I'm really better than that. Also heres some songs I think we could play that match the above ideas: Back in Black - AC/DC (though singing would be hella hard) Enter Sandman - Metallica Fade to Black - Metallica Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin (though everyone not playing would get bored as hell and we dont have a flute [lol, thats might be stupid]) Sorry, I cant think right now, if anyone has more ideas, PLZ POST. Also, making music is also a option (I have a couple of ideas floating around). Also, we should think what genre we should mostly play. But thats enough to think about right now, how about the week after schools over, we go somewhere and meet/jam/hangout. I think I'm free that week. | |

| Lol, I would like to fill the bass position but I can't play for crap. And no offense Jeff you didnt really help me when you tried. But it was nice that you tried. I fiddle around on the bass every once in a while but I dont really get much done, and I don't really see myself getting better. But once I start getting my lessons, I would be more then happy to join. (Or I can join now and...suck) | |

| Alot of bass parts are really easy so u could probably fit in. I'm glad to know ur interested though. Ya, I didnt really help you all that much. Just kinda played myself. lol, I played bass a bunch in nj so if anyone wants to switch off guitar and bass, I will do that because bass is pretty fun. | |

| Wow, were gonna have a big band... Cool :face:
As far as songs go I have a few ideas but we have to all at least kinda want to play the songs so, yeah...
-Down With the Sickness
-I hate evertyhting about you
-Chop Suey!
I already know all of these sonns by heart so thats why I was kinda putting thme out there. Also, if at all possible I would love to do backgrond singing stuff.

| singing i hate everything about you will be REALLy hard. he sings really high. down with the sickness will be cool (fun for you). and I cant belive i left out chop suey. Thats really easy on guitar for me. I know this band seems big, but when people cant come, then their replacements could come and make a 5 person band. But Val will hav to be there like everytime because he is the drummer. | |

| ya jakob can do pretty much anything tho, (apparently), so he maybe can drum. I like those songs, (not as much on the TDG), but I'd also like to learn some new stuff. Umm if we dont have alot of singers, we could do some instrumentals, but ya. I'd love to do Stairway, (SCREW FLUTE! =]) And umm i like other LZ like Black Dog/Heartbreaker, (hella hadtr solo tho, listen to it). Um Metallica is pretty good, but im into roots music right now. Blues, Folk Rock. Like Yardbirds/BB King. But w/e you guys want, as long as its not all like evil Blarg stuff as I call it. | |

| I dont want to mislead you joe, but I said I would willing be singer if no one else wants to. I think singing is pretty fun (the main reason people dont want to is bcuz its awkward tho) and I personally dont have a problem with it. If you guys can get past the awkward part (if any), then it will go pretty smoothly, I think. But I really cant sing as high as TDG, otherwise my range fits those other songs. | |

| mk lotsa stuff to say
joe -- name about us? what would we say, like jammin misfits or suburbian knights? no offense, really, but i cant think of anything that would directly relate to us. i like fighting chance and the incentive cuz of personal reasons and i think we can all relate because its a vague enough term. but i see where you're coming from if you think they're random, i hate all the metal bands called like 'technical death zombie assassins' or 'contracting mercenary vigilantes'. there really are thousands of bands like that.
jeff -- i can sing tdg fine. i can do most songs but im not a good screamer. all i can do is shout hoarsely. but if i scream its all throaty. like Norwegian metal. some ppl like it, but i dont.
val -- yeah we're gonna have lotsa ppl. but that's cool. but if we're gonna have so many guitars (scott jeff joe jakob me) i might just drop out cuz since ima probably sing since thats what im good at id only be doing like rhythm while i was singing and only tough parts when i wasn't. and also i think jakob should play bass. even if christian joins. i know this seems dumb, but think of how cool it would be to have two separate bass parts pounding away, one supporting the singing (not copying it though) and one with the guitars, or something else.
all -- if we're doing covers, dont expect me to sing anything like the ac/dc or GnR guys. im more of a clean singer, like the staind and seether guys. but i would love to sing system and disturbed (even though their lyrics kinda bug me) and tdg and a buncha modern stuff. we can start writing our own too once we learn to sync w/ each other well. i mean i know joe val and i have started already but we can start using it then.
e'er-bahdee -- I WANNA BE THA SINGER thats what im good at. i also like writing (music and lyrics) but im definitely willing to work with ppl, its not all about me. but i'd also like a back-up IF there is one.
jeff -- idk if it (b-u singer) should be you NOT BECAUSE OF ABILITY you sing fine its just that ur our lead guitarist so itll be tough to sing complex lines and play intricate riffs n shit at the same time. just throwin that out there.

| I'll be backup then. I see you really want to be singer and I agree that I cant really sing and play lead guitar at the same time. Unless someone REALLY wants to backup, I'll fill in because I love singing and think its really fun, but I gotta focus on guitar too. I like singing heavier too so I'll fill in for that (though I kinda suck at heavy stuff, better at lighter stuff like you) but I have fun with it. I have a hard time believing with your low voice that you can sing tdg at that octave, but idk. Lets not focus on names until we've played together and see if we can pick something out of our playing style or something. btw, REALLY OFF TOPIC (and sorry for caps...), its says am when its supposed to be pm. | |

| I should be able to be there every time, I kinda need to get more specs on dates and times when we would practics thouhg cuz I'm working at my mom's school about 3 days a week from 7am to 4pm. other than that, I really can do whatever whenever and as for the where, I think it would be best to do somewhere we won't bother parents and such. I'm open to anywhere, perferably my house or not too far, but post ideas as you have them. | |

| Not sure if my house would work because I have kinda thin walls and my parents hate it when I play loud music. | |

| jeff -- i was a choir boy for seven years. i can sing high. and i listen to stuff that can get pretty high (beatles, killers, 30 sec., staind, etc) so i know i can.
val -- um DEFINITELY not my place =P but idk... would ur garage work? i know it can get pretty filled but idk, if when u guys move there's not much junk in there its a possibility, albeit a remote one. joe's probably wouldnt work. and scotts might not work. he'd have to ask ted, and idk how well that would go over. jakobs is waaaaay to far for all of us to go, but he can prob. make it to a fair amount of the rehearsals if they're here. so idk. christians? but i really dont see where we'd put everything at his house... ugh.

| ooooooooooooooooooooooooook thought i'd throw in a few thoughts.
matt- i think you should do most vocals, idk how well you scream or axl rose it ut i can do that alright-ish if i get better at singing in front of pplz.... and you could throw in abit of ackup or whatever... chords idk if you want, or stick to singing
jeff- definitly the lead guitarist spot... i think thats pretty much decided. you're def. the best guitarist, and i guess if we need you on bass joe could lead, but i doubt it w/ me and christian already. and if you wanted a bit of vocals, there's always the handy dandy ....... tada! mic..... so yea
scott- basically if you get good you could be rhythm but idk how overkill we can go on rhythm guitars. sorry bud.
joe- youre probably backing lead or main rhythm guitar youre probably better than me, i'm not so obsessive about being good, so you could take priority over me and scott
val- hey long time no talk... so i hear you're gonna be a drumer, and usually the drummers is the best place to jam, but i get it if the house is small, and garage? but if you're just moving in somewhere new then thats tough too. but i think you've got drums, joe mentioned me, but i really dont play often, so i'm not very good. so you got drums!
christian- matt's idea is alright, except not the vocal part, two basses would be innovative, but one should go on guitars, and one on drums imma thinkin'. maye not, but a vocal line bass would work too.
ummmm.... yea i think thats it... jesus this is gonna be friggin lynyrd skynyrd all over again...........
ok ARYBODY- i think the final lineup should go something like this... (not being selfish, i just kinda fit everywhere)
lead1-jeff lead2-joe vox-matt/jeff/jakob rhythm1-jakob/matt/joe rhythm2-scott maybe drums-val bass1-christian(if you get good) or jakob
oh and matt i guarantee i get to school quicker than you.... i live like 5 minutes from school.. but nice try bass 2 ( maybe)-jakob
did i forget anything? oh poor adam...... ha nvm. later

| well i win! ==> =) <==
ok so for looking at people.. it looks like 7..... crap.... (unless scoott doesnt wanna or doesnt count or something...)
jeff - lead 4 sure joe - lead 2 rhythm 1 val - drums christian - bass matt - vox, rhythm jakob - w/e we need scott - rhythm guitar
