The stars are kind of like a rank.

Rank 1: 50 posts
Rank 2: 100 posts

My rank is admin. Moderators also have their own rank.

right now I only have 2 set up

1st is 50...
2nd is 100...

I will add more later. And there are also special rnaks (aka moderators and admin). But those are kind of a reward to a forum user who will help with forum managment.
