Actually I didn't really tell you so, but i might have told you to go listen to '45'. I listened to 'fly from the inside' this morning (the demo) and it was ok-ish. Kinda like held in by thegenre though. Like they were trying to matchg a specific tone, but that tone has been used too often. So you get the feeling you've heard the song before. I guess thats not awful as that happens kind of a lot. W/e i guess the song gets a 6.5 out of 10 from me not trying to kill it. (seriously)

Oh! I love that song. The version with Amy Lee though... I think you might not. I like the harmonization effect on the song. It seems almost like a different song. Dont have the slightest idea of the meaning, wait lying actually I do its kinda obvious isnt it...

I like Evanescence and I think Amy Lee's voice is amazing, but I think of Broken as a more natural sounding song (because the original was simple and clean sounding). I still like the one w/Amy Lee, but I think of her songs as more spacious (if that makes sense to anyone) and totally contradicted the original. Plus I like singing in the key of the original better too.

Well I listened to fly from the inside and i'd say what, like 3.5/5? I know you guys like it more but here i go. The chorus is cool, smooth, etc. The rest seemed kinda unoriginal/contrive, but i think (revelation) it may just be the band shinedown. I mean how many post-grunge/alt- metal bands can be on the market right now? whatever. plus its not really my thing.
